Michael T. Mergen is a fine actor who has yet to turn in a bio. So, we're going to take a crack at it until the real one shows itself. Michael was first seen by us as the bald but cheerful monk at the start of Rude Mechanicals' Lipstick Traces, a secret history of the 20th Century. Oh, how we enjoyed his exhortation to give up working. He caught our eye on many other ocassions, most notably as the Giggling Barbarian in a production of Titus Andronicus that turned out to be well-served by the presence of a Giggling Barbarian. We're sure there were other ocassions, as well. We remember almost passing out from oxygen deprivation as we laughed our way through Mr. Mergen's spiral into insanity ("Faster! Faster!!") in last year's Reefer Madness from his cohorts at Bedlam Faction. Some of us also had the pleasure of acting in Michael's directoral debut, Kirk Lynn's Pale Idiot, this past December. We know that he's an artistic director of Bedlam Faction and a company member of Rude Mechanicals and is an enthuisastic conversation partner. If there is more to know, we're sure he'll fill you in when his real bio appears (along with, one would assume, a picture of him in a lower volumed jacket).
